paul1471
Hi , i am wondering about confirmed alarms. If i had a monitored system and the living room had 1 PIR and a intruder broke in through a rear window and did not go to any other room in the house would it just get passed to a keyholder and not the police. Would it be best to have 2 PIRs in the same room?

breff
Except you can't have 2 pirs, you can have 1 pir and 1 dualtec or 2 dualtecs. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

arfur mo
Can you get petsmart dualtecs ? Yes, but as with any detector designed to ignore a certain activation, it reduces your security by that delay and in processing that consideration. so you have to weigh up that permanent lose of security using such a detector, against not using those area's at all, or not actually setting your system, which obviously would be bad news and the worse avice. so any such decisions should be based on what the actual risks are, your insurance/personal requirements and best addressed and advised by a competent engineer visiting your home to do just that. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
