Cctv Service Contract

Featured Replies

Due to family connection I'm hoping to get a contract this week to install CCTV systems in 15 recruitment offices in the south west......Ive demo'd product and given costings however

I have been asked to list a annual service contract cost and explain whats included.....

This is new to me...

The systems will be basic 4 cam /DVR per office will then be linked to a central remote

monitoring centre.

Can anyone help/ advise on the service contract...Furthest office for me is Exeter...about 1 hr travel time.........How much should I quote for each system?

In addition what 15" flatscreen monitor and lockable DVR case would you recommend?

This job is cost sensitive due to size so I'm looking for basic minimal BUT reliable set up!!

Will probably look to sub some work as there will be deadlines for the Install TBC so anyone in the Bristol - Exeter region who would like any work please let me know.....

cheers Guys

Some companies will charge 10% of the total cost of the install ranging up depending on what cover they give. Parts included, all call outs etc.

If using a DVR with a lockable case, make sure it has plenty of Air vent to stop the HDD overheating.

Just trying to do my job

Thx guys.....Good advice.......I'm being told to use CRT by numerous suppliers!!!

I thought about putting the DVR in a case along with 5A disty board(enclosed) to feed cameras...That way when using shotgun cable its clean and tidy to terminate........This cabinet will then sit in directors office and is totally self enclosed....We are looking at a very large building so the chances are they will want to relocate viewing point at some time ....hence its portable!

I will use an APC DVR which has fan on it and the case will be 10u size so hopefully airflow will not be a major problem

Cable runs are about 60-80mtrs and I will use varifocal 3.5-8mm dc drive CS mount dome cams.

Job will be done on weekend as its an office....due you charge double time for this?

MAYCO, are you self employed or do you work for a co?
