C K Securitech Alarm

Featured Replies

I am a complete non-techy. I have the battery, a 12volt 3.0Ah, rechargeable lead -acid battery. I am struggling to find an outlet to buy a replacement, or someone suitable in the Preston area that could check the charging circuit.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Maplins.co.uk for a battery, if you are getting someone competant in to service the alarm, this is your best coase which obviously i'd recommend to you, they will (normally) carry batteries with them. if you do not know of a reliable engineer or company then you are best to choose an NS! os SSAIB registered company, they may not be as cheap as one from yellow pages but at least (hopefully) they won't be a 'fly by night' outfit.

and i say that as a proprietor of a non-registered company

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

You should get an intruder alarm specilist to look at it, espcially to check the charging circuit. It may never have been serviced, so its like changing the battery in your car, cos the batt light is on. Might cure, might be more serious things wrong
