Fall From Ladder

By rights a ladder is only a means ov access and not for working from...... If we service cameras on some sites we cant even use ladders it has to be a picker.

I like some of the answer options in the series of questions in the JIB HSE test for site workers, e.g.

Q) A ladder giving access to a scaffold can generally be safely used, provided that:-

A3) Any broken rungs are clearly marked.

Q) What should you do if you see a small fire?

A1) Nothing ... you will only get the blame.

Q) What should you do if the fire alarm sounds?

A1) Go to the canteen and get a cup of tea.

lol, that's always been my thoughts too.

I did install a fire alarm in a pub once that had sounders outside in the beer garden, but I had decent ladders and a decent drill. ;)
