As a NICEIC / ECA registered member it does fall on the electrical contractor. as turning a MCB off at the CU does not constitute safe isolation. On the other side you have the gate installer and they would not be out of the woods as any work carried out on electrical system should be checked that the circuit is not energised as per BS7671

Hi anyone come across a ADE optima compact not letting you change entry or exit time. panel eng code is still at factory setting so can gain access to the programming and select the relevant code and enter new time and it goes through like its accepted but on test it still 30sec plus -
as per BS7671 all new installs require a minor work or installation certificate and if the install is in a special location then it has to be Part P certified
