  1. Off to quote a client for additional detection this week, their boiler house was broken into a couple of nights ago by the metal wombles and had a load of new pipe stolen that was stored in there. The boiler house is part of their building but can only be accessed from outside. What should I do for detection, I was thinking of having a TMD and a sounder in there that sets when the building is set in the evenings. Anyone else done anything similar before?
  2. 3.1.14 digital key device used for setting and/or unsetting an IAS which can be removed from the supervised premises Such a device/key was formerly known as “Portable Ancillary Control Equipment” abbreviated to “Portable ACE” or “PACE”. Examples of digital keys include magnetic card, electronic token or similar, provided these keys have the required number of differs according to the Grade of the I&HAS (see Table 3 of BS EN 50131-1:2006+A1:2009)
  3. I'm hoping that instant will be okay. Never known what digital key refers to, either code via keypad or via an app etc maybe?
  4. G3 monitoring, shall check out that section of the regs. Wanted to do it on instant set but looks like we'll put a keypad inside and a push to set on the outside in that case.
  5. We were thinking of putting a keypad in there for setting purposes only but there would be no point as the nearest keypad is in the corridor that's 2 rooms away which would be fine. Other option would be a max reader on the outside of the cash room. The group logic will be setup so the rest of the building can't be set unless the cash room is.
  6. A client who has a large commercial premises is adding a cash room during their refurb, it will be on its on group that can only be set and unset by management with a maglock to prevent anyone gaining entry when set. Does there have to be a keypad in there since it's on its own area or can we set and unset outside of its group on another keypad? Regs don't seem to be very clear about it and don't want to upset anyone.
  7. Thanks GalaxyGuy. I usually tell the difference between the label on the panel lid, 3 series will have 3-xxx on the lid and dimension usually has 'galaxy 48', 'galaxy 96' on it etc etc
  8. About to takeover a site with a 3-144. Just been into RSS to start setting up the account and can't seem to find a option for 3-144. Never noticed this before! Would a GD264 panel type work? Remember coming across similar before and selecting another panel type was the only work around.
  9. Cheers. Replaced it this morning as it was stuck open and in pir fault
  10. Yes, going to head over there in the morning with a new DT and have a look. Can always replace it
  11. Got a site with guardall dt15s on and recently had a call from the customer saying that one of them is showing as an open zone with the amber led stuck on. Any ideas?
  12. Resurrecting an old thread here. We still look after quite a bit of iD. Still got several karizma plus panels going strong, we have heaps of spare biscuits and usually replace any dead panels with texecom and an iD expander. Yet to rewire any sites to EOL though, has anyone had to rewire any iD sites to EOL yet?
  13. There are 3 rkps on net1 and the Tsx node is on net2. I'll go and have a play next week and wire the node onto net1
  14. Hi datadiffusion It was a replacement panel from a TS series, client said it was replaced 5 years ago. Apparently the previous co has said the system was '100% working'....but that's not the case hence why we took it over It's thrown me somewhat as I've always thought that TS stuff was backwards compatible with the M series.
  15. Evening, one of our engineers took over an M800 on a domestic today and when walk testing ran into problems with the TSX node on the system. All of the zones on the tsx node are showing as closed regardless of its actual state. The panel can see the node and the lid tamper still works on the node. We only have limited spares for menvier kit now due to replacing most of our TS and M series panels for texecom. Still got 40 odd 2500s and 900s out there though. Managed to find a spare TSX node in the office and we tried swapping them over, still nothing. Not sure what firmware it's running, got it written down somewhere though! Not come across this one before,
  16. ADT are a nightmare, we recently had a client who was with them for 6 years and on the last visit they setup as a standalone system but never defaulted the eng code. Site badly documented and zones not named very well. Just crashed and reprogrammed
  17. Thanks for the offer GalaxyGuy, I have tried it on our demo board 48 and it appears to be fine. I've also been back to site and defaulted the panel, tried setting from a default and it's still showing. Looks like it's time to change the panel.
  18. Nova- groups are disabled, offending zone isn't on soak Al- sorry mate, I wasn't being very clear...I wasn't near a keypad so connected up to the panel and used RSS with the virtual keypad, no luck so tried a physical keypad
  19. Yep, no other option. You'd need to pass 4 other zones before getting into the office with the omitted DT in. I'll replace the panel if there's no other option, tried re flashing the panel too and tried al-yeti's way of clearing the glitch through RSS and at a physical keypad, no luck yet Called Honeywell too, they don't know either
  20. Tried that through rss, no luck. Panel is running v6.7
  21. Yep, looks like the off wall tamper was broken. We were still there yesterday replacing a few DTs so replaced the contact while we were at it
