glad happy land gets the same emails. I was worried.

Is the email like this, If so yes
Hi,
My client Ashokumar is looking for Security and Alarms Installers in your area, and I wondered if you were available to help?
I’m contacting local professionals on their behalf to try and find someone to help them. It’s free for you to contact your first client with Bark, and we’ll give you access to their phone number as soon as you send your first message.

Who is on drugs.
I hear they a bad for you and the boys in blue get upset if you are found to have them lol

Hi and welcome

One thing you might be missing out on is the pro panels they have the option to divide in to areas so say area "A" main house and area "b" flat. this can then be set on most so when setting the main house there is no tones from the keypad in the flat and the same the other way. You can also have it so the code for area "B" does not work for area "A"

Did you LOCK the engineer code so it could not be defaulted? Most panels this can be done

Install of apps ect is fuelled by demand.
nearly every domestic quote we do, we get asked if they can have an app.
we also do “proper comms” and outline the pros/cons and pricing of each form of comms.
but ultimately it’s whatever they want that goes in.
Yes I agree

You can still house basher being approved
This is true,
Theres more chance getting jobs in domestic then a commercial when not approved was more my point I would think the owner of a big shop or warehouse is not likly to want an app? but S.W.A.T and k9 unit to be called. Is what i was getting at.

The only issue for getting a URN for police response is you have to be SSAIB or NSI and that takes time before you can get to that point. If you get a monitoring station to work with you this will only allow keyholder response. This will start to build a record for you to then apply for SSAIB. So in this day and age you have to start of by house bashing then work towards getting approved, I agree app notification is unreliable but most the jobs i am getting, the bigger boys and girls would not want to take on but gets small companys the customer base to the get checked and approved.
This is more to show why some try and work with the apps not a dig at anyone.

On the car front if you check this out I wouldn't buy a german car for reliability
but this is just a observation

But then you have to be in your 80's to buy a Honda,

I fitted the cliffords in the late 90's was VSIB approved, I was asked to fit a moss by next door, I nick named it pants alarm, fitted in like 30 mins cut the wires and you have disabled it, clifford ones used to take a day and cut the wires, the self powered siren would go and the car would be immobilised. I still have the programming software its on a laptop that died with the ark,
As Mr Peter James has now moved into a unit next to my Dads work there's a 99 fiesta with one I fitted back in 2000, That my Dad uses, Like some things had to change the control about a year ago, Wanted to program in a new remote and the control unit gave up when adding a new remote,
Colour codes are black ign+, Black 12v+, Black earth 1, Black earth 2, Black Starter In, I could keep going but think you get the idea.

My experience is that the majority (maybe being a bit unfair, but certainly a lot) of engineers don't know how to use their multimeter effectively.
Next your be telling me it's not a door stop,
I did a access course at Tavcom and the guy i was paired with seemed keen to guess the fault that was put on the test rig rather then using his meter, I like using a meter do the tests look at what you have. Then you can make a correct diagnosis. If someone asked me what tool i could not be without it would be my meter,

The four parts. If you breakdown a intruder alarm, what do you need to have a fully working system, James has given you some, and you have asked a question about one,
I have a 10 bedroom house and you are coming to quote for a new system, and order the parts from securitywarehouse, what would you need to order,

When I did my course, i did it on site and one thing that come up was that maybe everyone should do the basic/ohms law course first. I think it was being put forward as a suggestion.
-
I guess your doing it as a online course then?
