  1. Not good, I guess con-artists wouldn't be so successful in what they do if it wasn't for staff signing everything off on the basis of "sent by head office"
  2. I don't know any of the answers to your questions - just tell them you want the software for a algotec 6400 and they can work it out from that?
  3. 200m is quite a long run, just an idea that I've done similar before is to use the fire alarm system to pass the signal. It does depend a lot on the system, but many will let you have a supervisory signal that doesn't show on the panel etc but allows an interface at the roller shutter to be connected to a sensor of some kind, and then switch another interface at the other end to light up the LED. If its Apollo then you could just put the interface somewhere can be seen, then when it operates the output - the LED on the interface will come on so you can stick a dymo label on it accordingly
  4. Unless they will sell it to you direct, you can NOT get it at all. 1. It would be against copyright to just give it 2. IF you were to get it, it would never work 3. Many have tried and failed So if you want it, send an e-mail to sales@protec.co.uk
  5. Have you considered a small wireless fire alarm system? Something like a EMS Firecell - theres others out there and eliminates need for wiring once the spur is done
  6. Thanks all for your help Ive just downloaded the virtualkeypad app and will have a play around with it
  7. Thanks, I was hoping to use the app. Looks like will have to eBay the GT-20 and get the ethernet module instead. Has been a while since worked with intruder so a little rusty on anything app connected! Getting back into it though, have been doing fire for too long that brain cells die off
  8. Honeywell is an odd one.. Some use system sensor protocol but it's impossible to say as your post lacks the basic information needed to give a proper answer
  9. All instances of this I've come across are contaminated heads, sometimes they clean up and clear but quite often come back into fault and need replacement
  10. LOL... If you can get that, I'd get you a bag of unicorn poo
  11. It could be the batteries, have you tried dropping the mains and giving it a few mins and checking each cell voltage?
  12. Hi all, I have a Galaxy Dimension and have a GT-20 IP module here, can I use that to connect to the RSS and also use the remote control app or do I need to have the E080 ethernet module? Thanks
  13. It depends a little of the equipment Sometimes shutting the power off to all of the rack is fine - but some kit doesn't like that so could just power off the amps leaving the controller running just with nothing coming out of the speakers
