The way i read it doesnt.
It seemed to me you need a fire wall for outgoing stuff to have any chance of helping the matter.

I looked at a cheap DVR and found some really quite serious issues. If you port-forward to this, an attacker - and not a skilled one - can take complete control of the device and do what they want on your network.

I wouldn't trust any DVR to be honest.
Expect more like this in the near future.
Interesting read.

Ive got loads, look a mess but like you say stable.

95% of ADE is run of the mill basic *****.

Nice tip Pete, i'll remember that one.

Hi all.
Got a faulty adt fire panel which I need to find a compatible replacement for.
Could any of you suggest a replacement 4 zone panel?
Thanks Dan
Is it the panel at fault or the system?

thats his budget though can't go any higher thats why im asking, what are them esp kits like from security warehouse
Tell him FO, i would. Then i'd go and earn a proper days wage than **** about with that ****.
ESP is utter *****, equal to swann.
You can buy better kit off securitywarehouse.
-
You will

Your doing something wrong then, why are you trading as a charity?

I sometimes wonder who designs these european alarms, they are all **** at it.
-
Only the key fob and the wireless speaker/panic alarm button. But they are not truly two way tbh in terms of rf security, just two way in the fact that they need to be to perform the function they are doing. Visonic need to do a refresh, i like the price and the style of systems but not he lack of security which is why we are fitting an alarm in the first place.
wanky orange screen on some of their panels is awful.

i wired 4 knights eol on one zone last week (2 sets of fire doors, linking 2 zones together in the control panel) fun and games were had then, never again.
Would have been cheaper for me to buy an expander.
-
im waiting for the rest of the paid reviews.....
lol
Why no mention of Visonic?
There are probably more wireless visonic installs than any other, kit is cheaper and solid!

States Powermax is 2 way.
Visonic Kit is cheaper to buy, DC's are cheaper and as are DT'S. In this game customers don't want to pay a lot, so Visonic win. What I like is they print free bell lids whereas Pyronix wont.
they do

Sounds harsh, but unless you read and understand them before you go servicing, theres not a lot of point putting the key in the ignition.
It's all unregulated anyway, bs just so insurance pays out and any excuse to not pay
****, you been smoking the hash pipe again.

moaning about which ever choice of fixing to me is a load og bollox
BUT, why you say 'why do you think' FP is only suitable for CB systems' the fact is, the regs used to say that.
We do not dream up why certain cables are used, do you not have a copy of the BS regs.
To say FP can ONLY be used on CB systems is bollox, but it used to be the genberal jist of BS regs.
-
Same here, all new fittings are leds, if every fitting i looked afetr was led, id been even happier.
-
only use fp for central batt systems
Doesnt matter for maintained.
Its fast neat and complies with fixing cables in escape routes. Its the same as fire for me looks good when you see red and white installed opposed to red and grey launched in
I don't understand?
Dont use it for non maintained, although loads of sparkies round here doing it.
-
You just use FP on maintained fittings?
-
-
I took it as on a wireless system.
-
Not really, with the wanky battery in an enforcer, standby time will be reduced by quite a bit if the bell is illuminated.
Not sure why the small font.
