IIRC theres a console port in the back of the unit (light blue lead rg45-9 din pin)
& also a web client software but (IIRC) the unit has to be enabled for web?
However if its cisco you'll probably find somebodies paid to manage it
ah!
Yeah just tried surfing to it via IE/chrome (tried both), so that probably makes sense, especially as i couldnt reach any kind of page etc.
* christ just looked at that manual, **** that, my scope ends with netgear......

So today I was going to port forward a dvr through said router. So IP config, default gateway of 20.1.1.254. Couldn't browse to to router. The dvr was rechable on lan, same gateway configured as laptop etc.
So what was I missing here? (Other than someone who knew what he was doing?)
Everyday is a learning day and all that

That's a sit down with a few beers kind of manual )
So will this replace an Nvr? This thread goes back to trying to fit something like an SD advanced, but not an SD Advanced. What's the app like?
-
So fast trace 2, never used one...
Anyone got a manual I could mooch over?
-
possibly. Seems a bit pikey though?
-
how are these fobs interfaced? Via a Keyswitch zone?
-
Am I right in thinking that the AP requires a wired connection to the main router?, is this different to a repeater?, learning curve for moi, never really delved into it tbh.
Thats how ive done mine, so either hw, or powerline adaptors.
I'm no expert, but like messing about with stuff like this if i have a spare hour or so, like wise with reading up on things. It all helps........

I run 3 routers, 2 with dhcp turned off and not using the wan port, all with same ssid and password and all with fixed but different channels. Oh and static ip addresses outside of the dhcp pool.
Just set up me hh3 salve as above, connected via it now.
Easy.

I have a poor reception on the one end of my house, so going to either find a cheapy access point or see if i can find an old hh3 i have buried in the loft
Having never set one up, whats the best way? If i say used a BT HH3, could i cone the SSID and wireless key, change the channel disable dhcp and seamlessly wander round? ........... Or is it best to keep the SSID separate?
It a little project for tomorrow if i can dig one out

not too bad then. Not something ive had to do tbh, but handy to know,
-
how messy is that though at the camera end? Ie how big is the converter?
-
not had any issues personally at that distance. Sometimes on a longer run we may supplement it with a .75 flex, but its rare

proper cat5e all the way.

CCA
Basically its ****, and gives a much higher resistance than standard copper cable. Measure the resistance on the runs, you'll be surprised (maybe)
We tend to fire the video down a twisted pair (browns), then power down the two others. So thats the blues twisted together, and the oranges.

Proper Optimas and Accentas were good panels.
Keep on top of the batteries and they were/are bullet proof

thought it was all based in liverpool?
We used to fit stack loads of it back in the day. Still have lots of old xm's, 2plus K+ out there. Most Ulitmates have died (thank god)

he must have a screw wacked through them into the joists imo? Sticky wont hold it up on the board surely
Not that it makes it any better really!

glows in the night iirc

Ive never had one issue with them personally over 12 months. One engineer has multiple. Its his special touch i'm sure.
-
they work 60% of the time, every time
-
I find them a bit slow to respond, but they do go. As it was a G3 did you try dissing the trigger too?

all the links present on the rio? never used them but thy can be put in different modes with the ee links for example. And yeah deffo need a ov common up. A premier for instance, wont see anything on the bus with no common ov.
