  1. yes but id say that's cos they think quality is similar. If you have no measure of difference and all is the same the cost is the decider. I'm the same when I buy stuff. 2 people selling me carpets ill look at the carpet, same carpet ill want to know who will fit it better, but buying a carpet isn't protecting me from f'allso next up is support when I need it

It protects you from cold feet, but regardless of product sometimes cheapest wins, that's why farm foods shops are chocka

  2. Go get it then

your not even a good apprentice never mind businessman, listen to the advise your not ready to go it alone get a few more years behind you then think about it while earning a decent wage without the stress of worrying how to pay it

  3. I've been done install, service, commission, quoted big jobs that you wouldn't believe. I can't say the company name but I've land one 40,000 job which we did over Christmas period and just about to land another big job. I've got the experience, I'm not as thick as you think. I know what I'm talking about. I know the standards inside out as you should too. Of course I can maintain a customers site, I have the experience and competence to do so

why do I always attract them.....

  4. I'm open to negative comments and take them onboard. I took them onboard and I said I'd prove him wrong, that's not me saying I don't like negative comments.

the term is realistic not negative, what experience you got installing/servicing/selling/pricing jobs up have you got years of seeing customers and giving them a service you can promise to maintain if they come with you etc etc

  5. Yes your right Gaz, but sometimes you employ an idiot that lies his way through the interview, and it takes a while to find out he's an idiot because one you dont want to believe that your that stupid to take on an idiot, two he is quite good at covering his tracks he may be an idiot but that doesnt mean he is stupid, if he was an idiot and stupid you would have spotted that straight away in the interview, and lastly if you are a nice boss you will give him the benefit of doubt, and a chance to prove you wrong. But I will never employ someone with those traits again which doesnt mean I wont employ another idiot but the idiot wont be as much of an idiot

everyone on here could of told you that,a management failure that im afraid...

  6. So you don't regret starting up whilstle? Just a lot of work and demanding now you run it yourself instead of working for a national?

the thing with whistle is the years of experience in all fields before he went alone, being an apprentice you won't have that head start, walk before you run

  7. I said Most Gaz, you are probably the exception, and everytime I have lost an engineer I have got a better replacement ....though in some cases that wasnt hard

any business is only as good as the people working in it at any given time, from top to bottom
