Surely most of the force off a ladder against a wall is downwards, even with a 'heavyweight' engineer on them.
Unless of course the ladder was at a silly angle.
-
Correct.

As you've already been inside the panel to disconnect the battery, and I assume you managed to reset the system, it obviously isn't set up for engineer reset on tamper.
If that's the case change the battery, because at a minimum it requires replacing if it hasn't been replaced in the last 4 years or so, and see if it makes a difference, Imho though it possibly won't, but, heh, worth a punt tbh.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111829710042
Something like this would do you.-other brands are available.

A 12v dc power supply unit-2amp output would cover most eventualities.
-
I would have both.

I assume that sms auth only allows texts from set numbers to make any changes, I also assume that you must therefore program allowed numbers into the system, if this is the case have you done it?.
I don't know the panel though so just guessing.

Yes to both questions, although progging using the keypad can be longwinded, especially for a newbie to it.

Ah, that explains why stuff I hadn't seen popped up peeps.

I personally don't think telling someone that a zero could be required before engineer code is a problem, they must still have a valid engineer code after all.
-
BB filter possibly.

My NICEIC assessor basically told me'class everywhere as an escape route', reason being firemen etc would need access to every part of a building to retrieve bodies etc, ie, a body could be in the corner of a large room, no doors close, but a safe route would be required in all cases.

The dialler takes an input from whatever device you choose to connect it to-one just has to have a little common sense.

If it ain't broken..
Are you sure you would want a security system that relied on smart phone technology?,feck me my supposed smart phone can't even make phone calls sometimes!.
-
What it sounds like is you need to employ the services of an intruder technician, as one can see, there could be a number of causes tbh, and without being on site one is clutching, we're good, but we're not mind readers, probably due a service anyway eh?.
-
It does, good practice to use 8 core-full stop-spare cores if required in future, either damage or extra devices.
-
Not a dig mate, just wandered why tbh.
-
Over and above the call of duty possibly for a forum, phone calls etc, just saying-my take only, any views anyone?.

My local CEF stocks full copper-just for me-8 core and 4 pair, 6 pair and 10 pair-ever since they boobed when I stipulated full, and they got returned quite at few rolls of cca that basically wouldn't allow video entry or audio to work-no charge for all the part rolls and ripped out bits I took back.
