Is there any actual benefit to you, the consultant, being a member? I can't readily see one.

there is a whole list of things an approved company is not allowed to use a contractor/ consultant for and a very much smaller list of what they can - so I very much doubt it.

What sort of advice were you thinking?

Id assume you can consult without approval. However the system would have to be approved so you would have to ensure your design fully complied, and your statement of this would not be enough for the installing company they would have to ensure this themselves.

What are you thinking of doing?
