Dualtech interfere with wireless networks?

Featured Replies

I cant say ive ever heard of such a problem but your correct in stating Dualtech M/W operates at 2.45Ghz. Knowing the industry i would have thought if there was any conflicts then we would all be well aware by now as neither set ups are that new so that there hasnt been any problems found, yet!

Realistically though the people who should know would be the manufactures and i suggest you email your prospective chosen D/T manufacture regarding your question. If you do, please let us know what reply you receive.

From the horses mouth:

Hi

I've received feedback from R&D and they confirm my previous email, that

there are no issues with using Discovery Duo's and a wireless network on

2.4GHz on the same site.

The only recommendation we have is that you do not site a Discovery duo

within two meters of the wireless router.

Best Regards

As I understand it MW detectors can work on either S-band or X-band according to manufacturer. S-band is 2.45Ghz X-band is 10 to 11 GHz

All the sensors I have fitted work on the X-band (10 to 11 GHz).. Didn't actually realise there was any other frequencies allocated to detectors.?

Anyone know to any operating on this S-band (2.45Ghz)..?

Oh and Welcome to the forums, Product Support Services - Visonic Limited.
