asked to reprogram veritas compact (entry/exit timers too long. The panel has been locked out (no factory reset possible, power down - no probs talking to installer)

The nice old lady asked if i could change the user code- no probs i thought.....

the panel will not except a new code. followed manual. all i get is annoying harsh buzz

any help is much appreciated as ever

You sure her existing code is working? Unset LED should flash if it is.

You've probably tried this already but procedure should be CODE, PROG, 60, NEW CODE, PROG, RESET

Other than that you may need to contact an engineer to look at it

Umm.. CODE followed by 00 (all lights on) 01 (zone 1-4 lights on) NEW CODE then RESET. If i rememeber correctly.

Close! Its right up until new code then -PROG- then reset.
