Guest RICHL
Can you still get them? Im struggling to source one for a double leaf steel sliding door with a 2 meter travel on each leaf. Guest
I'm sure I could get them from my usual suplier if I tried. CPC do them, just search for door loop. Even found those Abloy concealed ones there. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5766-door-loops/#findComment-48438 Share on other sites
ian.cant
The big black coiled ones? Hard to come by i can imagine these days. You could use ordinary cable and tie to the up and down V sections of the brace bars, ive done it before and it works well and doesnt get snagged if you do it right, works better than the coily loop IMO. Guest
Hmm, I think I went off on a bit of a tangent, good old make it up as I go along forumming again. Now I know what you meant, I thought that was a 'invent something' scenario? ian.cant
Hmm OK , but what about that armour stuff you get on a roller or angle contact, can that be bought by the meter? 48501[/snapback] Never seen it in metal but you can get smaller than 20mm plastic adaptaflex, dont ask me where tho! Guest
Most electrical wholesalers should be able to order it in, or failing that, CPC do it. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5766-door-loops/#findComment-48508 Share on other sites
Guest
Yep, this stuff, (from the Adaptaflex site). Remember you'll need the ends too. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5766-door-loops/#findComment-48513 Share on other sites

Guest
You've cocked your link up. Try this one. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5766-door-loops/#findComment-48517 Share on other sites
ian.cant
I cant really see that working too well long term. When used on PTZ housings ive found it splits after a while and i can see it being worse with the plastic version. The metal stuff isnt that flexible and will be a problem on the doors specially if theyre used often. I could also be wrong but thats what i think will happen, it will split given enough work!
