March 28, 200521 yr comment_45933 Hi, A friend of mine has bought a house and it has a Veritas 8 alarm installed. He has no codes etc (typical) I fitted my own R8 system so, toddled off to have a look with my manuals. What I found was strange to me. I can set and unset his system with 4321, I can also access chimes by using this code. But when I tried to cange his code by pressing 4321 PROG, the panel just returns its error sound. I cannot access engineer mode, so it has obviously been changed. I have told him that he will probalby have to buy a new panel as you cannot reset to default, but thought I'd ask this question to the experts before he does. As the system works fine and is set up well. I just cannot understand why I cannot enter user menus ?? Any Ideas Mick Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5549-veritas-8/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 So I could update his part set etc Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5549-veritas-8/#findComment-45937 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 March 28, 200521 yr comment_45938 All the commands are different, so unless you have an old installation manual you still wont be able to do anything with it.
