Guest Adrian
B) The way I believe it is set up is the customer has a redcare stu /GSM unit in or by the alarm control panel.(This is fitted with a pre programed chip from the ARC) The phone line is enabled where possible by BT and BT Redcare have reciever units installed in the monitoring stations. hence the chirps go from the ARCs redcare recievers down the redcare enabled phone line to the redcare stu that in turn sends a kiss of chirp back to the ARC. So it doesn't matter where the arcs operators are as long as they have access to the infomation from the recievers. As for custodian I used to work for a company that used them at the time they where a very freindly and easy company for both the engineers and customers alike. norman
I personally would ask for an alternative. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. jb-eye
My new alarm contract will have monitoring with Custodian? Are they any good?, is there anything I should no before signing? Thanks 45141[/snapback] Dave they (custodian) are an excellent ARC. Unfortunately their management has treated us (jb-eye) abysmally and we are replying with our feet (walking) you (DGMarsden) are not their (custodian) customer. Custodian is employed as a sub-contractor by your alarm company. And if you are not satisfied with the performance of your alarm company! Well refer to the contract T&C. Custodian is not moving its ARC to India just the admin (for the moment anyway). I trust this is clear Jef By the way why are you (DGMarsden) in the trade and asking advice on employing trade? ( just curious and don Customers! Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/5498-custodian/page/2/#findComment-45243 Share on other sites
