Galaxy 60 Dead ????

Featured Replies

 hi newbie member need some help, ive a galaxy 60 control panel which when i turn on the keypad bleeps and flashes ******** on the screen the power led isnt iluminated, ive been told that this means no comms, ive replaced the cable to the panel with no joy, ive checked that the A,B are the same each end, ive got the 680 ohm resistor in place helppppppppp ive got mains and battery is new volts at keypad 13.1 v dc and accross the comms 12.7v dc any advice much appreciated, i have version 1.8 software on the board and hardware version 1.72 <_<

******* on the keypad does mean there's a data problem.

Remove all other rkp's, rio's and comms mods, etc (anything data), restart the panel and see if you have the same problem.

Also check your belden screen is grounded at the panel end.

Do other data devices work ok on the AB terminals?

If not it's the panel, if so, it's the keypad or cable or interference.

Is there another keypad onsite that you can swap it for, that will eliminate the keypad.

If you don't know......ask.

Two keypads addressed the same ?

wot software is it in the panel and wot colour keypad do you have.

The keypad may not be compatable with the software depending on age
