Hi folks, moved into a new home and managed to change codes and have the alarm working. however am unable to use Part alarm, so that upper floors can be isolated at night. Manual says enter code, Press P and the exit tone should stop , allowing you to choose which zone you want to part alarm. However the exit tone doesn't stop and no new menu options come up. Help...

Don't you have to set the zones up for part set first? In settings ? Then that might work ?

I didnt want to mess with the original settings, as I am sure the previous owners had part set up already. I did a walk through test and all the different zones were picked up. However what you suggested may be worth doing. thanks

Reprogramming it all is best , to make sure it all works to how you want it to, but If you got the budget get rid of it when you can 

may have to go into engineering settings for that which could prove tricky or need another code. anyhow why do you suggest getting rid or replacing this one? not fit for function? alarm for a 3 storey townhouse in a gated area ?any recommendations ? thanks for your responses

 

as al says you will need to setup the partsets in programming. they are dsiabled by default

It's old panel dude , just like anything else it may do the job if it works for a bit , but realistically I am sure as SW would say not using a Nokia version 1 to post your messages .......

 

DIY although one way I can only say go scantronics ion which still uses a free based app system and is less complication other systems 

 

Others that are free either poor hardware or complicated programming
