Hi,

 

Does anyone have ideas/experience upgrading the Honeywell Dimmension Galaxy C048 firmware? How painful it is, how easy to get the right newer firmware file, etc.?

It's for personal use only, and I'm not willing to pay more than just a symbolic price.

  • My board is C048-C-C1 V6.10 (says on a sticker on the main chip).
  • What does it take to get a new firmware that fits in?
  • What tools do I need?

I understand the fact that buying from eBay may be worth the effort, but let's leave this for later.

You can also use an RS232 lead connected to the panel.  From your other thread, it sounds like you already have the RS232 connection sorted out, so the cheapest option would be to use that.  Note that the upgrade wipes the settings, so be sure to perform a complete site backup before the flash upgrade.
