No zone 5 pir working

Featured Replies

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me ….I noticed one of my two outside bell box flashing red. Just looked and zone 5 pir not working.

it’s an accenta G4 mini and thesystem sets and unsets fine .

When you say flashing red if you mean the LEDs' it supposed to, its a deterrent light.  What makes you think the motion detector zone five is not working? is it because the light doesnt come on when you move? If its in a bedroom the led is probably switched off

Thanks for your time peter

The one bell box has green strobe light moves left to right, the other used to too but now it flashes red.pir in room 5 doesn’t light when you move like in other 7 rooms.

You may have two separate faults, these indicators wouldn't usually be related.

Some external sounders will display faults with the comfort LED's separately a PIR not lighting up maybe a power/cable issue or faulty sensor. I doubt they are related.

When was the system last inspected? These types of faults would usually be picked up as part of annual maintenance.

It was inspected July time when it was working fine, would only 1 pir go out if a fuse had gone or would it take all pir’s out?

also could the red light on bell box be a fuse?

Contact your maintainer. They should have some idea what kit you have.

A fuse blown would take out multiple devices and/or cause the bell to activate.

No they are all normally on the same aux fuse with an Accenta, in any case they fail in alarm so you would not be able to set it. As SWB says the Leds on the BB may be indicating a problem but it would be unrelated to the pir, try setting it and moving around in front of Z5 if the alarm goes off the Led on the detector has failed, that would also give the bell a test at the same time.
