ADT Keypad Needed

Featured Replies

Hi,

Have an old //.National Installer.// Safewatch Custom Alarm and the keypad is going bad.

//.National Installer.// says they no longer have that keypad, want to sell me whole new alarm.

I need a #7604-018 Keypad for this system.

If you can help, please email me at:

BruceBubello@netscape.net

Thanks much, hope I can find what I need.

If you do manage to get a keypad it would probsbly be second hand and only a matter of time before that wares out aswell.

I would suggest you go for the upgrade Bruce. Doesnt have to be with //.National Installer.// though, ring round and get a couple of quotes. Even if you keep your maintanance contract with //.National Installer.// they dont have to supply your new system. Also check your contract as u might have a rental system and they will have to replace it for free anyway.

Where do u live?

As Mr Kingswood said "Dont forget the 6 P's when installing.....Proper Preperation Prevents P*** Poor Performance!!!"

You have not said what is actually wrong with the keypad. If the number buttons are worn, it may buy you some more time if you change your code so that you avoid the worn buttons. (I don't know the system, so I don't know that this is the most likely fault)

No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.

not 100% sure but i think its a //.National Installer.// USA branded system, which i think ademco makes...but dont quote me on that..i think they also make a wireless version of it..but safewatch is def a //.National Installer.// brand in the usa..

safewatch used to be the old focus range of //.National Installer.// panels if memory serves me right

could be wrong but i thought safewatch was thorn's quirky software version of a galaxy type panel - don't know if a standard galaxy keypad would work. must be an //.National Installer.// engineer out there to enlighten us.

nope...its a usa/canada panel tho im not sure if the newer keypads work on the old panels..and a standard galaxy rkp wont work on the thorn version as its encripted software..
