GalaxyFlex 020 - Maintenance of the RF devices

Hi,

I would like to know how you guys do the maintenance of your Radio devices.

I have a GalaxyFlex 020 connected to Honeywell D08M (wireless door detector) and Honeywell SHK8H (wireless shock detector on some windows)

- According to Honeywell commercial documentation the battery (Lithium 3V CR123A) can last nearly 5 years

- Normally we are supposed to get a notification on the keyboard when the voltage falls between 2.5V and 2.7V

  • Based on this, what are your best practices ?

      - if you were me, how often would you change the batteries ?

      - which brand would you use ?

  • In addition, do you know if there is a menu where we can see the battery level of the RF devices ??

      - not sure, but I believe I should see something in 61.3 Warnings, when the battery is low.

      - Otherwise, could we check this in real time when the battery life is still ok ?

  • Do you now what Supervision RF means ?

      - From my understanding the RF devices talk with the control panel every x minutes.

Is this the supervision RF ?

or is Supervision RF an other more advanced check (battery status, strength of the signal, ect )

Thanks in advance for your help on this,

meaningless see attached graph showing discharge curve. They run then once they start to drop are dead within 1 - 2 weeks

Yes, as you say the device should poll every x seconds or minutes (depends on brand) some stuff can be hours!

Once it hasnt recieved them over period x then the panel reports supervision failure
