If you must I guess OpenTAP is the better option as you'll soon get to hear about any system problems or service withdrawl via their web page... but will it be too late!?

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

 

Well, here's a turnup.

 

Installed an i-On EXDL30 today from stock, didn't actually need the 'D' bit but wanted the 'L' larger case. Upgraded to latest SW (4.05) and whats

now in the SMS menu? TAP, TAP, more TAP, then right at the bottom, hang on... ETSI Protocol 1 with all the BT numbers pre-filled!

 

However, this model has an on-board dialler, so remains to be seen if you still get this when you plug on a digi02...
