October 22, 200421 yr comment_28541 I have just installed a Gardtec 840 with Contour Keypad. I have programmed the latter as JP1 and keypad is recognised by opanel and all appears to be well. When I enter user or engineer code unit goes into local alarm with message "Kypad 1 Tamper". I have rechecked wiring, that tamper switch on keypad is being made etc and am now stuck. Any assistance would be most appreciated. , David Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/4011-gardtec-840-keypad-tamper-problem/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 Same problem occurs suggesting there is nothing being disturbed while I press the keys. October 22, 200421 yr comment_28550 regardless of these faults showing up, can you actually set the system, and if so does this fault only occur on un-setting..? ........................................................ October 22, 200421 yr comment_28551 Is there a Spring attached on the switch on the keypad..? Yes and I can hear it "clicking" when I replace the cover. Is DURESS code enabled and are your user & engineer codes conflicting..? Haven't programmed anything except one ACE transmitter to check pressing keys wasn't causing problem. Default codes are still in use. Is there only the 1 keypad..? Yes, only one LCD keypad. 28546[/snapback] Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/4011-gardtec-840-keypad-tamper-problem/#findComment-28551 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 As soon as I enter a code I get the error message a second or so later. October 22, 200421 yr comment_28558 Note: All jumpers should be in the desired position before the RKP is powered up. If ajumper is re-positioned the RKP should be re-powered. ........................................................
