Commercial Wireless Cctv

Featured Replies

Is there such thing as a professional wireless CCTV system? I haven't used wireless before, always been a bit wary on the CCTV side of things but is there such systems that can be used in the commercial world?

(I am only talking commercial installs, I try to stay away from residential altogether)

When I say commercial, I mean small//medium units, 50m x 50m along those lines.  I've seen the wireless links that use a TX RX with a analogue cam into the one end but never a "Wireless camera" as such. I'm thinking along the lines of security huts that have no cable access, barriers with no coverage, turnstiles etc.

If so any links would be appreciated,

Yes in the sense that certain models (although, usually low end) of the Axis and Panasonic IP range sometimes have WiFI on board?

You would be well advised to supply your own access point and whack it on 'hidden' channel 13 though, provided no-one else already is...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
