Not actually. Just saying what PIR could do there. Pal's here have installed few outside and if they work ( ??? (haven't installed any outside myself !!! )) here in -30 degrees they should do fine in bathroom..

For once I have to agree with Georgahti,if you must fit a pir it has to be waterproof or it will corrode, I've fitted Crow D+D's in swimming pools (not underwater) which are an even harsher environment due to chemical fumes.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

I'm assuming it is not actually for a bathroom as Neil also seems concerned with false alarm immunity to the steam. Therefore, I don't think a PIR wil be suitable.

England isn't only place on earth where there is fog sometimes..

Even if there is steam, temperature and environment in the room should be quite stable. Shouldn't be harsher than outside.
