I've just taken over a system with 3 Aritech shock detectors plus 1 analiser , are they any good? any info / diagrams would be welcome.

System is about 6 years old , and the whole estate has them.

My Dad had about 12 of these detectors fitted to all the external doors and windows, thing is they were all installed on 1 zone, to a HiTec (Aritech) panel, by a hard to get hold of company called R***de, any ways to cut a long story short they seemed to function correctly so long as they were tested every week, if left for several weeks the ballbearings seemed to stick together and needed a good tap to free them.

Any way their all removed now, as i fitted shockguards in there place and re-wired everything and fitted a new panel & bellbox.

Can remember them from years ago, didn't think there were any still around!
