Looks like a bit of a 'me too' device - hard to see what the USP is.

Other than putting itself out on a limb, shouting loudly, and being ripe for hacking...

That said it took a nasty sharp shock to get DiscStation to (appear to) take security seriously again.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

So this bit isn't true

Military-grade encryption

Lima encrypts all communications between your devices using TLS. Only your devices can decipher them with a unique dedicated key.

No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.

Well, that bit is meaningless.

"Military Grade" means nothing, to start with.  This is military grade, according the vendor: http://cybergibbons.com/alarms-2/reversing-an-anti-code/

This page is protected by encryption of the highest standard:

https://www.google.co.uk/

Would that mean you could trust your data with them?

You need to know how the data at rest is being encrypted, and how authentication is handled. They aren't open about it.

Look at the Amazon reviews or kickstarter page for it.

I have a blog, some of which is about alarm security and reverse engineering:
