Guest lin
Please help I have a Rascal Super burglar alarm part no 320288-02. On entering the house the alarm went straight into activation without the usual 15 second warning and then will not turn off on entering the code to disarm. The 'reset after alarm' procedure does not disable the alarm. The main indicator light is green and no red lights appear while the alarm is sounding. Please advise Thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/3933-alarming/ Share on other sites

bellman
Usually a very reliable panel the rascal, although very old now. had a similar occurrence on one some years ago, turned out to be a faulty LM7812 regulator inside the panel caused by a duff battery. You will need an engineer to come and service it for you. Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer. Service Engineer
It may have reset to defaults. Try 1234 as the code, if that works you`ll need to get an engineer out to re-programme. Expect to need a new Backup battery too. ........................................................
