Guest kmillard
I have just moved into a house that has a FAI Security Guard II system installed. The owner had turned the main unit off as he acquired a couple of cats, but then lost the key. I have tried to find contact details of FAI but it appears they no longer exist, is that right? If so does anybody know where I might be able to get a replcement key from. Many Thanks. Guest simmo
If knowledge serves me correctly FAI vanished some time ago. There is a website that claims to carry some spares, its on an earlier link, I'll see if i can dig it out. If you do run it up you may need to change your battery. I'll get back to you with some information soon. Guest kmillard
Thanks for the reply. I actually managed to open the case up and have been able to replace the whole key switch with a new one from Maplins, so I can now turn it off and on now. Thanks. Guest Trent
How do I open it up and change the key fitting over? Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/392-fai-security-guard/#findComment-79374 Share on other sites
ian.cant
How do I open it up and change the key fitting over? If you cant pry/force the lid open then your going to have to drill the lock off, go to maplins and buy a suitable replacement.
