I'm a girlie who needs some help!!!

Don't know if anyone can help. I've an Optima XM alarm and recently I turned power off to fit a new light in Kitchen and when I turned power back on, the keypad to alarm has blown. I think I'd be ok fitting a new one if I knew where to get one from.

What is it doing now? it may just need a reset and a new battery, are any of the led indicators showing.

The ADE Optima XM is now obsolete , you could replace it with a Optima Compact or Texecom 8C.

I've had a quote to replace system at £110 - using a veritas 8???

If the flat cable to the keypad is burnt then there's not much point in trying to fix the rest of it.

£110 for a new panel is cheap.

Yes I have been to England. I have to disappoint you but Finland is 338000 km2 large and is 1261 kilometres long. My fellows in north have average distance of 200 km to the customer. Driving 800 kilometres needs one coffee break somewhere in the middle..
