Help! Problem Starting Honeywell Galaxy Flex 20

Hello,

First, I would like to apologize for my english which is really terrible.

Then, maybe somebody can help me to solve my problem:

I just receive my kit of Galaxy Flex 20 + MK80 keyprox + 3 Activ8 pir detectors.  I wire everything as recommended.

- My PIR detectors are wired with 1KOhm in || with "Relay" and 1KOhm in serial for eol.

- Each zone is occupied by a single detector.

- The 3 detectors are connected to zone 1002 (Exit) 1003 (Intruder) 1004 (Intruder).

- Unused zones are "terminated" by a 1KOhm.

- The keyprox MK8 is set to address A, with a 860Ohm Eol and connected to A-B of RS485.

- The RF Portal is set to address 0, connected to terminal link the RS485.

- The telecom lines are not connected yet.

- The backup battery is not connected yet.

I did a check all the lines with a ohmmeter to ensure that everything is ok, and then I power on the system.

...

When the system is powered, I get:

- The keypad emits a steady sound that goes off when I press a button.

- The first line of the keypad reads like that: ***********************

- The Led of left right bottom of the keypad flashes;

- The red diagnostic Led of the control panel motherboard lights up steady for some secondes, then flashes continuously.

- The LED of the PIR detectors indicates that they are in working condition and reacts property to a presence.

But, the problem is:

The keypad displays *************************** but nothing else.  Even by pressing a few buttons, nothing happens.

Thank you in advance if you can help me.

Address 10 on a flex? I'd maybe try address 0

******************* means it isn't chatting with the control panel.

It works!

Setting MK8's address to 1 and now it's communicating with the system.

It is a big step forward but I feel that there is still a long way to go.

Now I' stuck because I cannot access to the Parameters menu.

I'm login with the manager code (1234), then I try to go to the Parameters menu (51), the system says "Insufficient Access Right".

Then I try to login with the engineer code (112233), the system says the same thing, "Insufficient Access Right".

The system seems to recognize only one code, the 1234.  But this code, I can go nowhere. except to basic users settings.

:(

....

EDIT: I found it.  I have to go to menu 48, then enable Eng. Access, and then I can log in with the eng. login.  Ouff!!

860ohm on the data?

Faily sure the gals look for 680ohm.

Program a # in front of the engineer code and you wont need menu 48 every time ;)

You are right, it's 680ohm (the ones included in the kit).

Ok, next time I will try # before eng. code.

Thanks

Hello!

This week-end, I install and program 3 new RF door contacts and wire the telephone input.  Everything work well, except now I get "0004 +AUX TAMP" error that seems to stay there forever.

During installation I disconnect by error the wire which is used to jump T terminal to 0V terminal at the outputs pcb board.  When I want to leave Eng. mode, the tamper check returns error "0004 AUX TAMP".  So I shutdown the system, put the jumper T-0v back, then power-up the system.

But the tamper error stay there and I don't know how to clear it.

:(

Somebody can help me?

Thanks
