arfur mo
Its always funny until someone gets hurt. Then its f hilarious. we always laugh when we see a man who cops one in the privates - even though we all know how much it hurts . i always say it is more painful than child birth, which women claim is the most painful yet volunteer to go through, often several times! now, i have never known of a man to volunteer to be kicked in the nuts! If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! cybergibbons
Yep, there are really 15/16/17Bs and fake ones though. If they are cheaper than expected, they are usually fake. Easy to tell when you open it up. I have a blog, some of which is about alarm security and reverse engineering:http://cybergibbons.com/ Â Â Â Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/35967-fluke-117/page/5/#findComment-364254 Share on other sites
SouthernBrad
I have heard that before. A friend of mine was taught to only use a "Kewvolt" like device to test for dead. I suppose it has a clear LED only display and less to go wrong. That's pretty much it,Test it on the proving unit before the circuit then test the circuit. It has no settings so they see it as engineers can't have it on a wrong setting like they could a multimeter. The leads are also protected right to the very tip and have finger points that keep them away from the circuit. arfur mo
my first job was to work in a garage as a trainee with 2 other lads, favourite trick by one sadistic mechanic was to cut up a wire brush and fix it inside the toe's of your boots, very painful if you did not check before putting on, and difficult to remove without getting spiked. we got revenge by completely filling up his flashy american type locked rolling tool chest with Castrol heavy axle grease using a high power compressed air greaser, was that a nasty state when he opened it up with all his tools inside. but very strangely for such a 'comedian' that he did not quite see the funny side of that .
