LOL! its taken so long you've got yourself an avtar!

If you're not sure though mate call an engineer out - the previous owners code may be in there.

If you don't know......ask.

lets get me head round this, someone is trying to change the pin on a 9448+?

The instructions are not that clear but its easy when u know how;

press number six

press enter (button with same arrow as return key on pc's)

enter existing code to be changed

e.g

1234

enter code to be changed

1234

(Why they never say enter code twice is beyond me but i guess that would be too easy for scannie!)

two beeps from panel as confirmation

enter new code

e.g 5678

two beeps from panel as confirmation

All sorted

perhaps the nvm is fecked? everything suggested so far should work, but if the panel causes this many replies why not chip in the twenty quid required and buy the man another one !

I've had this problem a few times myself. Tried to enter the code with the customer and it fails to go in.

I often program the user code whilst in eng mode, its just quicker, no probs with getting the code in there!

Correct me if im wrong but didnt you crash the panel. if so : O enter 7890 will get you into engineer mode .
