September 13, 200421 yr comment_23263 try defaulting it again this time make sure you short the pins marked 'RST' while at the same time applying battery power, then mains power, then remove the short. If you cannot change the code by entering: "try 6 then enter 1234 new code eg 5678 <beep, beep> new code again eg 5678 <beep beep> dont start your new code with a zero James" then you need to bin it If you don't know......ask. September 14, 200421 yr comment_23358 hi, i tried again to change the user code with no success.... so i powered it down shorted the reset pins+powered it up again as suggested. no changeat all.......... after retrying+pumping in different various numbersi suddenly got the elusive beep-beepto indicate the change of code..........(at last) somehow the code had changed. but i can now change the code to what i want. the weird bit is the process is different to the book. i now key 6 enter 1234 4digit code 4 digit code (which now bleeps twice) new 4 digit code which bleeps twice + now operates alarm perfectly. is this right, weird, or just bloody lucky.....? anyway its working and thanks alot to all for your help. regards glenn Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/3566-9448-code-change/page/4/#findComment-23358 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
