9448+ code change

Featured Replies

try defaulting it again

this time make sure you short the pins marked 'RST' while at the same time applying battery power, then mains power, then remove the short.

If you cannot change the code by entering:

"try

6 then enter

1234

new code eg 5678 <beep, beep>

new code again eg 5678 <beep beep>

dont start your new code with a zero

James"

then you need to bin it

:(

If you don't know......ask.

hi, i tried again to change the user code with no success....

so i powered it down shorted the reset pins+powered it up again as suggested.

no changeat all..........

after retrying+pumping in different various numbersi suddenly got the elusive beep-beepto indicate the change of code..........(at last)

somehow the code had changed.

but i can now change the code to what i want.

the weird bit is the process is different to the book.

i now key 6

enter

1234

4digit code

4 digit code (which now bleeps twice)

new 4 digit code which bleeps twice + now operates alarm perfectly.

is this right, weird, or just bloody lucky.....?

anyway its working and thanks alot to all for your help.

regards glenn

james said key6

enter

1234

new code ..bleep bleep

new code .. bleep bleep

i have to key 6

enter

1234

existing code (remember i managed to get it changed today)

new code ..bleep bleep

new code bleep bleep

itseems to be 1 more number to key in......??

i still need to put in 1234 even now the code has changed is this right..?

its the only way i could get it to change the code, so if this is the second user code. how do i change the first one..?

If you have defaulted the panel and you have followed the user instructions to change your code and it still doesn't work then I'm pretty sure it needs binned :(
