This installation is in My daughter's house - before she bought it. Both batteries - control and bell box, were failing. Replaced both and then realised that the tamper on the bell box wasn't working. Also the wiring to same didn't make sense. Started altering the wiring by wiring the strobe independently, as it should be, but the rest is as clear as mud. Cannot work out how the bell box is supposed to alarm when the cover is removed - obviously the installer couldn't either! Perhaps the bell box panel is faulty? Any pointers, together with correct interconnections, gratefully received.

Best to post pictures of both ends mate, ie wiring and connections

From your description I have the same feeling that the problem is in bell box.

Or was 3 months ago!.
