Pulled the power on a redcare GSM today that was live, in production and open.

Pulled the power at 12:12:21

I always thought that red gsm was top of the tree. I would of stuck with it probably if it wernt for the fact it cant do extended formats.

Ill do one of our webways too.

Can a redcare secure do SIA then? this is the only thing I don't like about DualCom but I have not heard many good things about the secures so have swerved them to date..

We use the secures currently at G3 and yes they can do Pins, Contact ID, SIA 1-3.

I quite like them the only down side is the catastropic reporting time (ie both path fail at the same time) and the power consumption. Much prefer the data method of the webway for comms.

we are using emizon for anything hardcore and dualcom grade 2 (but looking into this after recents posts) for anything else - would prefer to bin off digis all togehter and finding that we are speccing dualcom radio only rather than digis more and more..

We have been told May ish for extended format and UDL over GPRS on dualcom. They are insisting their GPRS UDL will be alot better than red secures offering.

good news - i won't bother looking at redcares then!
