Atc Accord Xpc - Wiring The Internal Siren Help

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I have been looking through this form for days now.

Found some very useful topics that helped me with my Zone 9 tamper issue, but not as yet found anything that would help me wire the internal siren.

I'm not sure of the make and model of the siren but it looks pretty basic.

I've had the Accord XPc installed approx 15 years ago and had disabled the whole unit in a panic whilst I replaced our consumer unit last week.

Everything else is wired now but the siren.

Could anyone help me with wiring up the internal siren please?

All I know is that the red, black, blue and white wires were used.

I have included photos of the siren and alarm unit connections which I hope helps.

do you have an external bell?

You only have the hold off connections wired it appears. You need a trigger and a tamper return to use it fully

Hi James,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes we do have an external bell which works fine and I'm not sure where the hold off connections link to on the alarm unit.

I was hoping someone could explain how to link the siren and alarm connections together.

For example:-

Siren ---> Alarm unit

R- ---> AUX+, AUX-, KPAD, TRIG, LS

H+ ---> AUX+, AUX-, KPAD, TRIG, LS

H- ---> AUX+, AUX-, KPAD, TRIG, LS

BAT- ---> AUX+, AUX-, KPAD, TRIG, LS

BAT+ ---> AUX+, AUX-, KPAD, TRIG, LS

RTN ---> AUX+, AUX-, KPAD, TRIG, LS

From what I have read in the forums, the BAT- and BAT- connections on the siren wouldn't be used in my case.

So that leaves the R-, H+, H- and RTN connections from the siren.

Very much appreciated,

Cagen

R- ...... Trig

H+ ...... Aux +

H- .......Aux -

RTN ..... to the tamper return connector but not KPAD or LS in your above list.

Hi James,

That's FANTASTIC!.. :proud:

I've been searching all week for at least some sort of diagram without success.

Regarding the "The tamper return connector" Are you referring to the black and yellow connections shown in my first picture?

Edited by cagen

No the 'RTN' connection in your third piccy he means-goes to panel tamp-R connection.

Panel Bell

Bell+ = Positive Supply/Hold Off=H+

Bell- =Trip/Signal Negative=R-

Bell Tamp- =Negative Supply/Hold Off=H-

Bell Tamp-R =Negative Tamper Return=RTN

Strobe= Strobe Negative Signal=STRB

Does that make it a bit easier?
