Shieldsec
Hi, Im trying to refit/program a galaxy 18. I usually install Risco but after hearing of the quality of galaxy kit, I decided to fit the galaxy, thinking how different could it be? This was an ADT system. On entering the default engineer code (code, enter, code enter), The display did not enter engineer code, but somehow by pressing esc, esc I have Engineer Access, Does this mean the code is locked by ADT? Also the bell, its an ADT one, it has; H- H+ BAT- FAULT REM TEST ENG TR TS R- ST- How do I connect this to the galaxy, re the hold off and return. I see the 0v terminal but where to connect the tamper? Thanks Sam Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/31737-galaxy-18/ Share on other sites
Driller
I could be talking complete rubbish but I believe TR is "tamper return". Someone will be along to confirm though. Driller
And of course if TS is "tamper send" and the negative hold off isn't connected by default through the lid, you may have to come off the negative hold off to the TS... Again, with the reserve that I may be talking nonesense Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/31737-galaxy-18/#findComment-274519 Share on other sites
norman
rather than guessing get a manual or get them to call 0800 7812 999 Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. 9651
You are in engineer mode if you enter code ent, code ent. Upon pressing esc you are simply escaping the hot menus, but still in engineering as it were. If you usually install Risco, why you installing an ADT bell? Best get a manual Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/31737-galaxy-18/#findComment-274528 Share on other sites
Shieldsec
Thanks... The adt bell was already fitted but not connected to the panel, I will be replacing that, and as for the programming Im getting the manual from Honeywell.
