looops
Hi all. First of, sincere thanks to all the contributers to this forum. Been reading through, picking up advice and posting a couple of questions. I now have a great Premier 48 working nicely. Shock sensors being reset by inverted output Detector Reset (earlier problem much discussed). Being an IT guy, I added the Com IP module to the box and havent look back since. What a great solution the Premier + Wintex is. You professionals must love it. Is there any way, instead of a dialer or SMS, I can get the Wintex or other software to send an email on alarm? Maybe with cause / triggered zone? A tip to anyone starting a project like this, the Texecom Impaq Plus shock sensors are a lot better than the Honeywell Vipers. (prettier, more LED choices, easier to calibrate etc). all. Paul. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/30770-thanks/ Share on other sites

breff
Sorry Loops, AFAIK it can't be done, wish it could, I have an IPCOM myself. Unless Adrian from Texecom wants to tell us different The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/30770-thanks/#findComment-267588 Share on other sites

I spoke to tex last week about it, i sure they said it wasnt available, seems weird as i thought being an ipcom, email would be a basic feature I really can't be ar**** with it anymore. You professionals must love it. Hey Paul, I don't know the capabilities of the COM IP. Can you explain what having a Premier > COM IP > Wintex allows you to do? My guess is that it just allows you to remotely program or control your panel, but it does not allow you to send out alerts. Am I close? james.wilson
Fairly. It needs a compatible reciever, so it can send alerts to a reciever of sorts then that can send emails and texts etc. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. looops
There must be an web based API behind the Com IP as sending your browser to http://IP.Address lands on a test / demo page. Anyone know what's there? Could we do something with the polling software?
