Can anyone advise how to stop the external and internal bells sounding when there has been a power failure? I can confirm the standby battery in the control box is fully charged.

an alarm should operate w/o ringing the external bell for 8hrs or so w/o mains power, you have somwthing amiss with yours

Agreed it'd definitely a fault. You say the battery is 100% how did you test, and how is the battery fuse?
