I also have just moved into a House with a Galaxy 8 + system, it used to belong to //.National Installer.// but the previous occupier bought the system over I have no pins etc and have tried the usual defaults to get into the system, have also pulled all the power to the system, but the system remembers all setting within the chip. I would be interested if there is another way of accessing this, can someone help? or where can I purchase another chip.

Kind regards Willie

You will have to call out a company to take over the system for you, Galaxys are not easy to program, even when you have the system programming manual! Defaulting the system can be done, but again this information is only available to people in the trade so you will be hard pushed to find out how to default the panel. New chips can be purchased, but only from authorised wholesalers and only sold to authorised trade members. So your best bet would be to post your location and we will see if there are any companies in your area we can point you towards.

Programming is not an issue really, I work in an electronics laboratory. THe main problem is re setting the system, sadly, //.National Installer.// have made their own chip which i cannot re program using my software at work, but if only i knew how to crash the system.......

Total Rubbish any good alarm engineer can do this. Contact a local company or post on the forum your location and one of the engineers will be able to help you.

P.s most of us have a tried and tested specialist piece of kit to reset them, no software required, although a cup of tea is a advisable.
