mikeald Posted July 27, 2004 Share Posted July 27, 2004 Hi there, i am in the middle of installing a large galaxy 504 system, 45 + mods. The problem is that line one seems to have a mind of its own, by that i mean that when i introduce new rio's, and keypad onto the system and then exit engineer mode to scan the line for new mods added, it does not come up with them! and it is telling me that i have removed a module or two elsewhere! The cabling is correctly done using belden, is a perfect radial circuit and i have fitted a 680 eol on all lines. Lines 2,3 and 4 are fine it is just line one. I have tried introducing new mods into the system by wiring them right next to the panel and it still will not pick them up! And I have nowhere near exceeded the amount of mods you can have on line 1. It's just the keypadsthat wont come up, all the rios are on now. Any ideas? TSS Posted July 29, 2004 Share Posted July 29, 2004 there are some addresses reserved on line 1, 13 upwards I think, try changing them to lower numbers. Also make sure you aren't fitting too many prox keypads on one line as there are only a few allowed, 0,1,2,3 I think.. my bet is that you've got a short from the screen to a purlin.... has happened before and my meter couldnt see it!
