Anyone used them?

looking to convert eg h264 -> avi or wmv, just found below on google, but wondered if anyone uses or suggests? could do with simple edits eg chop to the chase.

Only one I have used are the axis ones. I have stripped out cheap ones that work for a few days then fail. You are normally better off using a compliant dvr. The dvr we use can do this.

tbo never thought about it before (post vcr days), never thought about uploading footage either.

Can see the advantages though eg showing enquiries the benefits of different kit on dvd etc.
