November 4, 201015 yr comment_256838 Hi there, I have just purchased a CCTV-DVR from china on ebay.. it is very good locally but I want to be able to monitor / control from my laptop - or ipod /ipad.. Can anyone help me configure it for remote veiwing, I have a BT hub 2 router , and Port forwarding support, but everytime I log in remotely via apps on iPad and a an android app, it seems to log but I cannot see the cameras.. I have used this before on my windows pc with a usb device which doesn't like Windows 7... Thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction.. November 5, 201015 yr comment_256937 Do you have a fixed ip? If not go to dyndns and set up a free account and host. Look up 'port forwarding' in google, iPhonenesteds either an app or a URL formated for iPhone. Windows mobiles often use java app. Your getting to the front screen but the access port is for access by IE or Firefox etc, those browsers need activex to make sense if the dvr's web page info. You need to check your dvr supports iPhone etc as many still don't. Arfur Edited November 5, 201015 yr by arfur mo If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
