Galaxy Entry Problem

Featured Replies

I have just taken over a working ADT system (Galaxy 60 with smart PSU) - after a cold reset and reprogramming it all it is fine except for entry exit door (final)(zone1 on PSU). It is normal on exit but on re-entry keypad seens to be disabled - blank screen and no **** it accepts no user codes until it has timed out - codes then work ok - What Have I missed with the programming? (manual is old) I don't know if it is connected but I have not got the minimax tags reader sorted out yet - It reads tag but can't validate number - the client normally uses it to set and unset the alarm.

Check Engineer 1, Option 54.

It should be set to 1 = Always if you want to use codes.

Hi

thanks for your reply - At first I thought you were wrong as 54 is LINKS but if you go to 51 - parameter 54 - there it is - The problem is my older book - it only lists up to 44 parameters - I will have to check the rest to see if it helps with the tag reader.

Thanks very much for your help

Never done tags before - they are the little sort oval ones with a 9 figure number etched on them - when I key it in it adds an extra 0 at the beginning - it beeps when I put it by the keypad but nothing else happens - the max log says invalid card

When you are entering the max number, instead of entering the number manually, try pressing 1 and A together, then present the tag to the keypad reader. Press enter after the numbers appear on the screen and assign the function of the tag in the next menu up (MAX Function). Timed Set will do. That should work

That reads the tag but the number is not as etched on. Now it does a short and long blip when tag is presented but nothing else and I don't seem able to get into the log to see what it says. I think I will have to come back tomorrow and try again - I have a little better idea of what should be going on. Thanks

Perhaps turning off DD243 might help.
