Micro Sd Cards

Featured Replies

Just changed phone again ( company one ) another Nokia 6300. Done the usual updates with Nokia and decided the 512 micro SD was too small.

So Carphone Warehouse and a 4 gig sd card.

Phone will not accept it, needs formatting.

Put it into card reader and was write protected, checked other sd`s I have and they were FAT not FAT32. changed that and now format card and phone will still not accept it.

Have I missed something or is the card too much for the phone?

Also copied 512 card supplied onto 4gig one to same avail.

cheers

According to 'wiki' the max size for a 6300 is 2gb a 6300i is 4gb

Yup - As Redbull states - many devices are only capable of SD (Up to 2GB) - Devices which are SDHC compliant (The HC being High Capacity) can happily take any size.

At the moment the limit is 32GB due to file handling restrictions but they are planning to surpass that soon.
