May 12, 200916 yr comment_237071 Have just had an DM eco4 go down with a drive fault. i know everyone says that it has to be sent back to DM but i heard a whisper that if you dont format the new sata drive on a PC and just plug it stright in to the eco4 it formats itself and works. does anbody know this for sure? It is now just a spare so having a play is ok. john Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/28636-eco4-hard-drive-prob/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 May 13, 200916 yr comment_237183 Are the DM hard drives still giving problems. When I was at IES 5 years ago I stopped using them because of the high failure rate I had with the DM hard drives. May 14, 200916 yr comment_237215 nope, havnt had a drive failure in ages. Wonder if they still use maxtor Tended to only get failures on overheated drives anyway, fan failures, wrong environment etc. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
